After watching the video about Niels Diffrient "Rethinking how we sit down', I've come to the conclusion that life can take you anywhere, and do anything. Niels Diffrient started out wanting to design/create airplanes in the 30's. A cool approach for an interesting life. He didn't get to do what he really wanted to do in life. But, he did still get to do something that was sort of related to what he originally wanted to do: drawing airplanes. He enjoyed doing it enough, to have done it for 25 years! Until he grew tired of it. Then he decides to design his own office chair! Completely random, and having absolutely nothing to do with his original goal for what he wanted to do in life. I'm glad he designed his own new office chair. He took an already existing item, and made it better ten fold! At the end of the video, he seemed so proud of himself for what he had accomplished in his life. I don't blame him at all!! It's great seeing or hearing about things like this. Someone taking an already existing item, and making it even better than when it was originally made!
FINAL project business plan
The business I am creating is " Games Galore by Dillmore". It will be a small business video game store. The store will feature both retro and modern video games, and systems. I feel like anyone could come into my store, no matter what age they are. The store would most likely be geared toward teenagers, and young adults. My competition would be Gamestop, and any other small business video game stores that are close to where my store is located. I feel like more people would come into my store than to a Gamestop, because we actually stock retro video games and systems, whereas Gamestop doesn't sell them in their stores. I feel like it is great to get to know your customers that come into your store. I personally would talk to customers about video games, and not try to smooth talk them into buying/preordering games they don't even want!! I really feel like my store would have a great atmosphere for customers to come into, and enjoy there time spent in my store.
